Coconut oil is the new hero ingredient and is being touted as the ultimate beauty hero right now.  Unreal have used coconut oil in both Unreal Body Buff Exfoliator and Unreal Tan Eraser since 2010.  We feel this is indeed an important ingredient to help maintain the skin's lipid barrier.

We use it in particular in these two products as it is effective as an exfoliator, helping to slough off dead skin cells and unblock pores without irritating the skin.  When trying to remove fake tan people often scrub as hard as possible causing redness and possible inflammation and irritation to their skin.  Soaking in the bath to remove fake tan can dry the skin out causing further irritation.  If you use Unreal Tan Remover when in the bath then you are replacing the moisture often lost in this method as it is packed full of natural oils including coconut oil.

All self tanners use an ingredient called Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) which creates the brown tan colour on the skin.  This in itself has a drying effect on the skin and hence why it's so important to moisturise your skin on a daily basis when using a fake tanning product.  If the skin is kept moisturised then it will help you maintain your tan longer.  In addition coconut oil softens the skin and acts as an anti irritant.  There are so many benefits in using a product with coconut oil and these are just a few.
